Solar in the desert

A look at solar thermal power plant construction in the West. The hope is that the cost of solar power will start to come down over the next few years, making it competitive with power from natural gas.

This definately seems to be part of a larger trend towards finding sensible energy solutions that take advantage of natural bounties (an abundance of wind, sun or geothermal energy) to fit regional needs.
